2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards — Tiffany Was Ready!
“She Ready!” Tiffany Haddish was definitely ready to host the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards. The broadcast was recorded on June 16th at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. It was the 27th edition of the awards and the second time MTV jointly honored movies and television.
When the broadcast opened, Tiffany took us to Wakanda. Queen Latifah joined her and so did Jada Pinkett Smith. It was hysterical, then the ladies sang TLC’s Waterfalls before Tiffany stabbed the King of Wakanda, Chadwick Boseman in the chest, wrestled him to the ground and said, ” You are so close to getting my face pregnant right now.”
Tiffany took a drink from Forest Whitaker, turned into a Black Unicorn and told the people of Wakanda, “And she’s horny as hell. You hear me Wakanda.” It’s was great!

Tiffany came to the stage carried by two men and sang Cardi B’s beat with her own lyrics to Bodak Yellow. Tiffany also became instantly pregnant during the performance to be just like Cardi.
Tiffany is the first Black woman to host the MTV Movie & TV Awards and Black Panther is the first African American movie to make a billion dollars.
Tiffany got into her monologue and turned to the Kardashians and said, “I am also excited to see the Kardashians. “That family is basically the Star Wars franchise. They make a ton of money, a new one’s always popping up, and they’re ruled by a bossy overlord who sleeps in a mask and she loves black men.”
“You know who else I love? Zendaya! She taught me how to model, she taught me how to model and I taught her how to grapefruit. What!” She’s 21 y’all, she a grown woman. You gotta know how to do that if you want a husband.”
Tiffany called out to Nick Jonas in the audience, “Nick Jonas is going to tear it up with mustard and that’s how I want him to tear it up with me.”
She also called out the cast of Stranger Things and Chris Pratt, “Hey Chris I got a galaxy you can garden.”
She announced the first presenters Mila Kunis and Michael B. Jordan. They introduced the award for Scene Stealer, and the MTV Movie Award went to Madelaine Petsch for Riverdale. The next award was for Most Frightened Performance and the award went to Noah Schnapp for Stranger Things. Noah appeared truly shocked and said he was grateful for the honor. He also said, “This right here is proof that anything is possible.”
Real life heroes got a shout out when the nominees for the Best Hero Award were announced. The MTV Movie Award went to Chadwick Boseman for Black Panther. Black Panther led the pack with seven nominations.
Chadwick thanked the audience for making the movie a success, and called out James Shaw Jr. in the audience and asked him to stand. He fought off a gunman in Tennessee at a Waffle House. Chadwick called him to the stage and gave him the award.

Tiffany came back in a Star Wars scene with the Adam Driver and she asks him, “Are you a big-o freak.” “A man in high waisted pants is my biggest weakness.” And then, of course, he’s in those high waisted pants. She took her shirt off to match him and got shot by Daisy Ridley. Tiffany then took out a massager and they fought for it in the force. “You blew up my mo–er f–king massager.”
A plea against gun violence and racial injustice came before Chloe x Halle performed The Kids Are Alright.
Pauly D was the DJ and Tiffany came out in a copycat outfit of Jennifer Lopez’s Versace Dres before the nominees for Best Kiss were announced. The MTV Movie Award went to Love, Simon – Nick Robinson and Keiynan Lonsdale. He got the most applause when he said, “You can live your dreams and wear dresses.”
Best Comedic Performance went to Tiffany Haddish! You go, girl!
She came out in her bathrobe and slippers to accept the award and said, “She Ready!” And she thanked her girls from Girl Trips and everyone who went to see the movie twice.
The Best Reality Series went to the Kardashians, of course, and the Best Villain Award went to Michael B. Jordan, of course!
“I am shocked that I won this award for best villain. I thought Roseanne had that in the bag.” He then thanked everyone who went to the movie. He also said that Chadwick wants everyone to stop asking him to say “Wakanda forever.” “You’re all taking it too far.”
Tiffany’s skit on A Quiet Place was a woman who spoke throughout the whole movie. See the rerun of this. Jamie Foxx joined in and it ends badly for him.

Common presented the Trailblazer Award to Lena Waithe who gave an outstanding acceptance speech, “Thank you so much for this award. God bless y’all. Goodnight”
The cast of Jersey Shore presented the award for Best On-Screen Team, and the trophy went to The Losers Club from IT. “We really want to thank our parents, especially our moms. and we really want to thank the fans.”
The award for Best Performance in a Show Award went to Millie Bobby Brown for Stranger Things. She accepted the award on video, thanked everyone for the award and asked people to rise above hate.
The Best Performance in a Movie Award went to Chadwick Boseman for Black Panther. “I want to thank my parents for believing in me.” He said not every parent is supportive when their child wants to be an actor. He thanked his cast and fans. “It’s such a joy to be able to do what you love.”
The Best Show Award went to Stranger Things, and Lady Gaga presented the big award of the evening, the Best Movie Award. The trophy went to Black Panther or as Lady Gaga said, “Black Mother F–king Panther!”
