It was a fantastic event hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, the new host of America’s Funniest Home Videos, and the slam-dunk winner of the 19th season of Dancing with the Stars.
The Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors honors outstanding creative television and new media talent, and I was honored to receive the Distinguished Service Award.
I was in excellent company, too.
Norman Powell, Producer, and Director won the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Chuck Fries, Chief Executive Officer of Chuck Fries Productions won at the Legend Award.
And Jon Cassar, Director, and Producer won the Chair Award.
The Caucus is an alliance of television and new media content creators, and a significant voice in the creative community. They also fund student productions grants through The Caucus Foundation.
In fact, a significant portion of the proceeds from the awards dinner will go toward providing grants and awards to approximately 147 worthy students for film, television and new media projects to the tune of $1.4 million dollars.
To The Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors keep up your great work!
Thank you for your recognition and for the outstanding and the very heavy trophy.
It was a great event all around.
Hugs and Happy Holidays!
