Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman a Must-See!

BlacKkKlansman, Spike Lee’s first non-documentary feature in more than a decade, is an incredible true-life story of two Colorado cops who team up to infiltrate their local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan.

Spike says, Jordan Peele of Get Out fame gave him the idea. “He called me out of the blue said Spike, I have this project. And I said what is it? And he said really six words, Black man infiltrates KKK … and here we are.”

Ron Stallworth played by John David Washington, is the first African American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Stallworth wants to make his mark and decides to take on this dangerous mission. Stallworth decides to recruit colleague Flip Zimmerman played by Adam Driver, who is Jewish, and together they venture into an undercover investigation of a lifetime.

BlacKkKlansman has received rave reviews since the film premiered at Cannes 2018. I reviewed the film for AURN.com, and John David Washington spoke about the film and how he was blown away by script and his breakout role.

You probably know that John is also the son of Denzel Washington and Pauletta Washington, so he gets his acting chops from good stock!
