A Wrinkle in Time
Director Ava DuVemay has made another astounding film in A Wrinkle in Time. Based on the Madeleine L ‘Engle’s 1962 novel of the same name, A Wrinkle in Time tells the story of Meg Murry played by Storm Reid, an adolescent who travels through dimensions in time to rescue her scientist father.
Through this magical journey, Meg receives guidance from a trio of guardian angels; Mrs. Which is played by Oprah Winfrey, Mrs. Whatsit is Reese Witherspoon and Mrs. Who is played by Mindy Kaling.
Meg and her little brother Charles, played by Deric McCabe have been without their father for five years, and they go on a very dangerous excursion to a planet that posses all the evil in the universe to get him back.

Storm Reid made her feature film debut in 12 Years a Slave before play the lead role in A Wrinkle in Time. The screenplay was written by Jennifer Lee who is also the writer and co-director of Frozen.
And this Disney production marks the first time in history a black female director has taken the reigns on a film with a budget of $100 million. It’s no surprise that director Ava DuVemay would fill those shoes.
The dreamlike imagery is lovely and the film is gorgeously shot. It’s also inspiring and promotes being an independent thinker when conformity is the custom.

Even I got a chance to take part in the dreamlike imagery in A Wrinkle in Time at the premiere in this fun little video.
A Wrinkle In Time opens in US theaters on March 9th.
Don’t miss it.
