2013 Oscar Luncheon
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences held the 2013 Oscar Luncheon for nominees at the Beverly Hilton this week. More than 100 nominees of the 85th Academy Awards show were in attendance.
One of the big moments at the Oscar luncheon is the group photograph of the nominees. It takes a little while to pull off, but it is the only opportunity to take the historic snapshot. Another highlight of the event is that The Academy appears to seat attendees randomly, and not by film or studio. For most of the nominees not knowing where you’ll end up is not only a highlight of the event but something they look forward to.
Although the Oscar luncheon is a lovely gathering for nominees to mingle, we media types do get our turn to ask the nominees questions. Here’s audio from the luncheon featuring Robert DeNiro, Ann Hathaway, Bradley Cooper, Quvenzhane Wallis, Jennifer Lawrence, and Christopher Lawrence.
Take a listen.

I asked Denzel a question about his daughter and he lit up! We usually don’t see him this way.
Listen in.
